Practice Description:

Dr. Colpitts Wellness Center is located in south Tulsa. The goal of Dr. Colpitts and the staff is to provide total wellness for the patients. Dr. Colpitts has amassed a well trained and dedicated staff. Together, Dr. Colpitts and the staff have over 160 years invested in dentistry. His journey began right after graduation from dental school. He joined the US Army and served in Vietnam as a medic and dentist with the 25th Infantry and the Marine Corps. When he served in Vietnam he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal. After returning home he made a pledge to himself that he would do all he could in life and in treating patients, that the men and women who did not make it back from the war would be proud of what he accomplished in his life. That when they meet in the future they would be proud of his service to mankind.Dr. Colpitts was diagnosed with chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia and then contracted Lyme disease. This set him on a long term journey to heal himself and then be able to help others. This took him to look at the whole body/mouth connection. He has studied with many great dentists and physicians including Dr. Klinghardt and Dr. Omura among others. He earned his Naturopathic License and then spent three years attending Capital University of Integrative Medicine in Washington DC. Upon graduation, he became the head of the dental department at CUIM. Along the way, he taught dental medicine at Oral Roberts College of Dental Medicine and is a past president of Tulsa County Dental Society. He has lectured many times at The IAOMT meetings. Dr. Colpitts has mentored many up and coming dentists in the care and treatment of biological patients. He now resides on an 800-acre ranch outside Tulsa, where he raises "healthy" grass finished cattle and goats. He did not know much about farming when he moved out to Circle C, so he took many courses to learn all he could about grasses and cattle. Thus keeping him healthy, active and enjoying life. So, when all is said and done, a great man with a great mission, a love of his fellow man, and a love of life.
