- Unit 1: Introduction to the IAOMT and Biological Dentistry
- Unit 2: Mercury 101 and 102
- Unit 3: Safe Removal of Amalgam Fillings
- Unit 4: Clinical Nutrition and Heavy Metal Detoxification for Biological Dentistry
- Unit 5: Biocompatibility and Oral Galvanism
- Unit 6: Sleep-Disordered Breathing, Myofunctional Therapy, and Ankyloglossia
- Unit 7: Fluoride
- Unit 8: Biological Periodontal Therapy
- Unit 9: Root Canals
- Unit 10: Jawbone Osteonecrosis.
Coursework includes reading research articles and watching online learning videos.
How do I achieve Biological Dental Hygiene Accreditation?
- Active membership in IAOMT.
- Enrollment fee of $750 (U.S.)
- Attendance of one IAOMT Conference, virtually or in person.
- Attendance of the Fundamentals of Biological Dentistry Course, virtually or in person (held Thursday before the regular scientific symposium).
- Successful completion of a ten-unit course on biological dental hygiene, including units on mercury, safe mercury amalgam removal, fluoride, biological periodontal therapy, sleep-disordered breathing, root canals, and more.
- Sign the Biological Dental Hygiene Disclaimer.
- All Accredited members must attend an IAOMT Conference in person once every three years to maintain Accreditation status on the public directory listing.
