This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT), our websites (www.iaomt.org and www.theSMARTchoice.com), our social media platforms (including IAOMT-based accounts on Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc.), and our member resources and forums.

WHO WE ARE
The IAOMT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, and our mission is to be the trusted Academy of medical, dental and research professionals who investigate and communicate safe science-based treatments to promote whole body health. We have been dedicated to protecting public health and the environment since we were founded in 1984.
INFORMATION COLLECTION, HOW IT IS USED, AND SHARING
Generally speaking, we only have access to personal information that you voluntarily give us via email, posting on a social media platform, or other via other direct contact from you. However, we may also use statistical information to track visitors to our website. This lets us see which of our features are the most popular so we can better serve our users’ needs. It also lets us provide aggregate data about our traffic (not identifying you personally by name, but by showing how many visitors came to a certain page, for example). More essential details about the information we collect are provided below:
Information You Provide Us: We collect information about you when you contact the IAOMT Office (via email, online, postal mail, telephone, or fax), join as a member, purchase products or services, register for a conference, respond to a request, etc. The information collected might include your name, address, email address, telephone, and company name, as well as general demographic information (e.g., your primary degree). This information is used to contact you about and provide you with the products/services which you have signed up to receive
We will not share your information with any third party outside of our organization, other than as necessary to fulfill your request, e.g., to ship an order, or as necessary to fulfill your membership services, e.g. to use Memberclicks or to provide other technological member resources. We will not sell or rent this information to anyone.
Unless you ask us not to, we may contact you in the future to tell you about IAOMT news, specials, products or services, educational resources, surveys, changes to this privacy policy, or other material.
Information Collected from Third Parties: We may pass your information to our third-party service providers, agents, subcontractors, and other associated organizations for the purposes of providing services to you (e.g. processing credit card payments, tracking Continuing Education [CE] credits, etc.). It is important for you to know that if you make a purchase a product/service/membership from us online, your card information is held by us, and it is collected by our third-party payment processors, who specialize in the secure online capture and processing of credit/debit card transactions. When we use third-party service providers, we disclose only the information that is necessary to deliver the service, and we make concerted efforts to ensure that your information is secure with third parties and within our own storage.

We may also receive information about you, such as your name, address, email address, telephone, and company name, when we act as an exhibitor at a conference.
Information Collected Automatically: When you interact with us online, certain information about your use of our website is automatically collected. This information includes computer and connection information, such as statistics on your page views, traffic to and from our website, referral URL, ad data, your IP address, and device identifiers. This information also may include how you search for our services, the websites you click on from our site or emails, whether and when you open our emails, and your browsing activities across other websites.
We use web analytics services, including Google Analytics, on our website. Google Analytics uses cookies or other tracking technologies to help us analyze how users interact with and use the website, compile reports on the website activity, and provide other services related to our website activity and usage. The website does not use Google Analytics to gather information that personally identifies you by name. IP addresses
We use your IP address to help diagnose problems with our server, to administer our websites, and for statistical metrics used to track website visitor traffic.

We use “cookies” on our sites. A cookie is a piece of data stored on a site visitor’s hard drive to help us improve your access to our site and identify repeat visitors to our site. SECURITY
We take precautions to protect your information. When you submit sensitive information to us, your information is protected both online and offline.
Wherever we collect sensitive information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. While we use encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online, we also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job are granted access to personally identifiable information. Employees are required to handle this information with the utmost of care, confidentiality, and security and to abide by all of the policies set forth by the IAOMT. The computers/servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

We may amend this privacy policy from time to time; please review it periodically. Whenever material changes are made to the privacy notice, we will provide this information in an email to the contacts in our current listing. Your continued use of our website after the date that such notices are posted will be deemed to be your agreement to the changed terms.
